ADVICE & COACHING
Christine Loomas
Hi! Advice for Newborns began with an idea I had which lead me to launch this business. I’m Christine. I am a mom of 4 beautiful kiddos. I am also a professional newborn photographer. I have been a newborn photographer for 11 years and counting. I have a lot of experience working with newborns. I truly love my job and babies! During my newborn sessions I would give tips and advice to parents all the time. The parents would then tell me “Why doesn’t the hospital give us all this helpful advice? You have so many great tips and advice.” This is what lead me to start Advice for Newborns.
I have a lot of newborn experience in all areas. While I am not a doctor, and do not claim to be, I know newborns and how to help you with any issues that may arise. I would love to give you advice and in some cases show you how to care for your newborn to help them feel more comfortable and soothe easily. Let me help you connect with your newborn and meet both your needs. I am available to see you, online or in-person.
AREAS I CAN HELP YOU WITH:

Being is parent isn’t always the easiest, but it is the most rewarding! I have experienced in feedings, burping & gas, sleeping, soothing, wrapping and more! Each newborn has their own personality and their own needs. Some babies need more help with feeding techniques while others need help with soothing. Either way I have you covered and am happy to help you!
We can setup a time to do a zoom call or we can meet in person! My services cost is nonrefundable retainer of $35.00.
A modern approach
It’s essential for me that my clients get personalized suggestions on what each client needed personally. Each newborn baby are unique. All needs differ from each baby to the next.
In today’s world, you arrive home from the hospital and then questions or issues arise. Sometimes it is about how the baby eats or even about how the baby wont settle. But getting a doctor’s appointment takes awhile (sometimes days) and even for a lactation consultant as well. I can help you! I can help you get the answers and possibly show you some tips to help you now, while you wait for your appointment.
Providing you with a safe space to relax
All your appointments will take place in my soothing in home studio environment in my private studio room, and individualized care.
In-person and remote options
My in home studio is conveniently located in Glen Carbon, IL. Can’t make it into the studio? No worries – I’ve got you covered with Zoom/ Facetime advice.

Having a baby can be scary. There I said it. As a mom of four, I was nervous each time. There are so many things that can go wrong. But with as much anxiety I had with delivery, I was so excited to finally met my little one. When you are in labor, it feels like time is going so slow. Once the baby is here, the hospital is on a count down for you to leave. If you are anything like me I was ready to go home, be in my own bed, and take a good shower.
Once I got into the car and we started driving, I was like “Wait now it is on us to take care of the baby. What if we needed help with something? Do we just make a doctor appointment for each question that comes up?”. They do tell you to call if you have any questions, but if you do, most likely you will annoy the nurses and doctor. I tried this. They were rude and annoyed by me, but I was a new mom. I had questions and wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing.
Sometimes even when you go to the pediatrician, they are just rude in general. It is so important to find the right pediatrician for you and your newborn. When you do find the right doctor it feels like a weight is being lifted off your shoulders. The right doctor makes all the difference. Most of the time, after you have your baby and go home from the hospital, you take the baby to the doctor in the first couple of days. After the pediatrician, everything is okay. You feel better. A week or two goes by and some issues may arise. Now what? Should you call the doctor again? Take random advice? Listen to family advice? I say do what works best for you! Each baby is different. Whether it is your first baby or fourth baby, each baby has their own personality. Just because one thing works with one baby doesn’t mean that will work with every baby, even if they are siblings.
If you have questions or issues, contact me. Let me help you if I can. Let me easy your mind. Just know you are not alone. You are not doing anything wrong. I’ve been there. It’s okay. Contact me today!
